A Wednesday night update……

I am feeling absolutely wonderful tonight. We got to do riding today! This afternoon was warm in the sunshine ( comparatively) and as He was scooping poop I got an idea. I’ve been doing this some anyway, but, I was really wanting some special time with Him.

I gathered up a bunch of energy and as He was working, I stared right at Him intently, with purpose. He noticed this. I put the feelings, the picture and the idea in His head. He stopped what he was doing and got my hackamore. I was SO happy. Before He even held up the hackamore, I was trying to put my face in it. I like to help Him that way. I’m always happy to see my hackamore. It means riding and fun and being close to Him.

With my hackamore on, we went to the tack shed and he did some work on my feet and put on my bareback pad. I like bareback. In the round pen we did our usual ground work play and prep. At the mounting block I put myself close so He could get on. He always asks first. He is polite that way making sure I want to ride and feel ok about it. We didn’t ride for long but it sure felt good. We rode through the “across” paddock, around the trees and the places they put hay piles for us. It’s kinda like a mini trail ride. It’s good practice for us because there’s lots to step over and around for coordination and proprioception. We practiced a few things like side pass over the mounting block and turns and steering. It felt SO good.

He also brushed my mane and took out a fairy knot. I always get a fairy knot in the same place from when luna and I groom each other. We do that lots. We are best friends.

When He put me back in the big paddock, He let Moon out of her area so she could wander and eat from hay piles They put around the paddock. Us three mustangs then went in Moon’s area and ate what ever she has spilled from her mash dish and, leftover bits of alfalfa that Moon gets special.

After all that, He finished His stall / barn cleaning. Im getting better at pushing pictures into His head. We both finished our ride being so happy.

I tell you humans this stuff because not all of you know that we horses can do stuff like pushing pictures, feelings and emotions into you. He knows because He is special. Eva gave Him that gift before she died. Lucky Him, Eva’s spirit is in me so she can still be with Him. She loved Him lots, just like I do. He is the most important thing in life to me ( besides eating of course, lol ).
